In Matthew 6:10 the Lord Jesus Christ admonished all His true disciples to pray for the coming kingdom of God on earth with all its power and glory (verse 13). This will be fulfilled at the Second Coming of Christ. God has given mankind 6,000 years of self government to show that it just not working. For the seventh millennia, God will send His Son back to earth to install His world government. Only those whom God has called and through faith and obedience have overcome will enter the kingdom of God as His born again sons. The writer of Hebrew in 4:9-11 states thus, 'There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience'.
The exodus of the children of Israelites led by Moses to enter God's promised land is a typology of what is to come for His chosen to enter the kingdom of God. As was the former, so will be the latter when few will qualify to enter the kingdom.For Christ Himself hinted that when He told His chosen disciples recorded in Luke 12:32, 'Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom'. The Apostle Paul states categorically as recorded in Acts 14:22b, 'We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God'. The inspired Word of God is clear on this point for, 'Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints (Jude 14a) - at His Second Coming to establish Kingship over all the earth (King) with the saints from the First Resurrection (kings)!
The coming one world government will be established and governed by members of the Family of God with Christ as the King and the immortal sons as the kings. All of creation is eagerly awaiting the revelation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). The objective of God is to restore all that had been lost to the kingdom of darkness. Christ is presently in Heaven preparing for His Second Coming (Luke 19:15; Acts 3:21) so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19). The goal is to turn earth into a paradise once again which was lost by Adam and Eve at the Garden of Eden. No human government can accomplish that, only the Almighty God has the wisdom and power to transform earth into an utopia a reality!
That is the heart of the gospel (good news) - the kingdom of God - that God the Father sent Jesus Christ to earth at His first advent to proclaim to mankind. He had qualified by overcoming the kingdom of darkness and will come to rule with His chosen ones in the coming kingdom of God. That is the reward for His saints as taught by the Lord Christ in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25: 14-30; Luke 19:11-27). Jesus Christ will come to bring about universal peace and prosperity for He is the Prince of peace and the government will be upon His shoulder (Isaiah 9:6). Christ and His brethren (sons of God) will teach the people God's laws and ways, wars and conflicts will be asigned to the trashbin of history (Isaiah 2: 2-4)!
During the Millennial Age, God's Spirit will be made available to ALL people (Joel 2:28). But it was closed off to humanity at large - except for the chosen few - after the Fall when God sealed off the tree of life to mankind (Genesis 3:24). There will be mass reeducation for all mankind to know the truth of God's laws and ways as compared to man's ways that lead to death (Proverbs 16:25).The saints who qualified as sons of God and are resurrected as immortal spirit beings will assist the Lord Christ as kings and priests (Isaiah 30:20-21; Rev 5:10) to help govern the world.
All mankind will be given the opportunity to inherit eternal life during the Millennial rule of Christ. They will need to repent and accept salvation throught the shed Blood of Christ. That will be the time when EVERY knee should bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). It is God's will and plan that none should perish. Those who ultimately rebel despite given all the truth and opportunity will face the lake of fire as the second death (Rev 20:14) with total annihilation from which there is no possibility of resurrection (Malachi 4:1).
The 1,000 year rule of Christ will be a time of spiritual and physical rejuvenation as Satan will be bound (Rev 20:2). Wasteland and desert will be restored (Isaiah 35:1) and miracles will be common occurences (verses 5-6). God's royal Family will restore the earth and prepare for the second resurrection of all humans who had ever lived. I have hope in God...that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust (Acts:24:15; Ezekiel 37). That will be the mighty latter harvest of all mankind. God will usher mankind into the Age of Eternity when Christ hands the kingdom to God the Father (1 Cor 15:24) who will dwell with mankind on the new heaven and the new earth where every pain and sorrow will be wiped away (Rev 21:3-4).
